Caminando por los pasillos de la tienda de manualidades me encontré con las herramientas de Bob Ross, entonces recordé  que me gustaba mucho ver su programa, siempre aparecía frente al televisor con su look de los setentas (pantalones acampanados, con sus camisa ligeramente abierta y su inconfundible cabello Afro),él hacía parecer que pintar óleos era la cosa más sencilla del mundo, especialmente me encantaban todos los calificativos que ponía a cada uno de los elementos que pintaba !!

Estaba tratando de decidir sobre que pasta comprar cuando de pronto escuché el alegre sonido de un mariachi que entraba en el supermercado, tocaron  un par de canciones para todas las mamás que nos encontrabamos en el lugar, los mexicanos que radican en Estados Unidos se veían visiblemente conmovidos, fue un divertido momento y yo tenía que tomar al menos una foto para recordarlo !

Recuerdo haber despertado  muy temprano el día de las madres,tenía muchas cosas que hacer, creo que no desperdicié  ni un solo minuto de ese  día, Mr. Flores me invitó a hacer un viaje express a Laredo,  primero llegamos a casa de Loli que también íba a viajar con nosotros, esa noche mi esposo cocinó para mí y para su mamá,  a la mañana siguiente partimos muy temprano a Texas, por la noche regresamos a casa de Loli  (ella había comprado una pantalla nueva ) y al desempacar el paquete descubrimos que el televisor venía completamente quebrado, al siguiente día  tuvimos que viajar de nuevo a Texas únicamente para hacer el cambio del televisor, aprendimos la lección que a partir de ese día, vamos a revisar todos los aparatos que compremos antes de salir del país !
I remember being woken up very early mothers day, had a lot to do, I think I did not waste a single minute of the day, Mr. Flores, invited me to take a trip to Laredo express, first we got home from that Loli also was gonna travel with us, that night my husband cooked for me and his mom, the next morning we left early to Texas, at night we came home from Loli (she had bought a new screen) and unpack the package discovered that the TV came completely broken, the next day we had to travel back to Texas only to change the TV, the lesson learned from that day, we will review all the appliances we buy before leaving the country!

Los niños me sorprendieron con un hermoso regalo, se trataba de la cámara instantánea Fuji Instax mini,  me enamoré de esa cámara desde que ví todas las fotos que mi amiga Olivia a tomado con la suya, las fotos son de excelente calidad y curiosamente todas las personas lucen estupendas en las fotos, además de la cámara los niños me dieron un par de zapatos ideales para mi, son oxfords, de piel y me encanta su diseño porque los puedo usar con mis leggings de colores. Mr. Flores además me regalo dinero para que hiciera las compras que yo escogiera, fue un cansado fin de semana.... pero esta de más de decirles lo feliz que me hacen las sorpresas que me da mi familia, además los niños hicieron tarjetas con mis cosas preferidas!
The kids surprised me with a beautiful gift, it was the Fuji Instax mini instant camera, I loved that camera since I saw all the pictures that my friend Olivia has taken with it, the photos are of excellent quality and curiously all people look wonderful in the photos, the camera also children gave me a pair of perfect shoes for me are oxfords, leather and I love the design because I can use with my colored leggings, Mr. Flores also gave me money do the shopping for me to choose, was an exhausting weekend, this more than tell you how happy that makes me surprises that gives me my family, and the kids made cards with my favorite things!

M.a.k.e. Pinocchio, the paperweight !

Los días comienzan a tornarse calurosos, y por las tardes, nosotros  siempre encendemos el ventilador mientras hacemos la tarea de la escuela, las hojas comienzan a volar por todas partes, entonces usamos un montón de cosas para poder sostenerlas,  por esa razón hice este proyecto, y hoy lo quiero compartir.
The days start to become hot, and in the afternoons, we always turn on the fan while doing the homework, the leaves begin to fly around, so we use a lot of things in order to support them, for that reason I did this project , and today I want to share.
Tengo muchos leños en casa, así que pensé que sería una buena idea usar algunos como pisapapeles, pero yo no quería poner un simple leño encima de mis hojas de papel , se me ha ocurrido hacer a pinochio (él es mejor muñeco de madera) honestamente me encantó el resultado,  porque además de ser útil es demasiado lindo como decoración.

Este proyecto no requiere de una gran explicación, lo único que puede resultar difícil es hacer los cortes en el leño.

Primero hay que cortar el leño en rodajas, cada rodaja mide 1.5 " de ancho, usted puede acudir a una carpintería para solicitar estos cortes, es un trabajo muy sencillo que no implica un gran costo o si usted sabe usar sierra eléctrica puede hacer los cortes en su casa, yo acudí a una carpintería y me hicieron los cortes en menos de 5 minutos, no recomiendo cortar las rodajas con serrucho porque al momento de cortar la rodaja se desprende toda la corteza del leño, hice una prueba y no funcionó.

Hoy se celebra en mi país el día de las madres, así que de alguna manera yo quiero desear un gran día a todas las mujeres del mundo que tienen hijos.

La mejor parte de ser mamá es que se tiene la oportunidad de vivir simples momentos a tráves de los hijos (no importa su edad ) pero especialmente cuando los hijos son pequeños uno también se vuelve un poco pequeño, entonces encuentras placer en deslizar los crayolas en los libros para colorear (incluso uno se permite traspasar las líneas  del dibujo  o colorear sin sentido) tumbarse en el sillón para ver dibujos animados, armar legos, escuchar y leer cuentos antes de dormir, coleccionar hojas secas o piedras, vencer a bowser (nintendo) una y otra vez, caminar con los ojos cerrados, estudiar los mapas y ecosistemas, usar marcadores de colores para escribir las letras de una sola palabra, etc... agradezco a mis dos pequeños hijos por todos los buenos y malos momentos que vivimos todos los días !!

Festejando los 5 años el 5 de Mayo !

Un domingo con una  maratonica fiesta (de la 1 a las 11 p.m. )el día era caluroso, algunos se resfrescaban en la piscina, otros sorbían sabalitos y comían nachos, los niños preferían los dulces y Emma se veía feliz con su vestido floreado que se quitaba de vez en cuando para usar su traje de baño, estaba la familia reunida, algunos amigos y mis queridas primas que me ayudaron a colocar la decoración que estuve haciendo en los últimos días, quiero agradecer en especial a mi amiga Cristina que me ayudo a diseñar la mesita de dulces .
A Sunday with a marathon party (from 1 to 11 pm) was a hot day, some were taking showers in the pool, others sipping frozen, and ate nachos, kids prefer sweets and Emma looked happy with her ​​flowered dress that removed from time to time to use the  bathing suit, the family was reunited, some friends and my dear cousin who helped me put the decoration I've been doing in the last days, I want to thank especially my friend Cristina who helped me design the candy bar.
